(FeaturedNews.com) – On Friday, during an appearance on “The John Fredericks Show,” former President Donald Trump promised that even if convicted on criminal charges he was going to continue campaigning for the White House in 2024.
In the appearance, Trump was asked whether a potential conviction could stop him from continuing with his third bid for the White House. In response, Trump stated that there is no reason for him to stop as there was no provision in the Constitution blocking him from running. He added that even those “radical left crazies” are aware that this decision would not stop Trump at all.
Trump has been indicted twice in the last year. He is facing 34 counts of falsifying business records in New York in connection with a hush money payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels, and another 37 federal charges following his alleged mishandling of classified documents after leaving the White House in 2021. Trump has pleaded not guilty to all charges in both cases.
It is likely that special counsel Jack Smith, who is handling the federal investigations against Trump is also going to indict him in connection to his involvement in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack.
Trump has claimed that all of these investigations are examples of the federal government politicizing law enforcement agencies and has called them a “witch hunt.” He has also argued that this constitutes election interference as he is currently the clear leader in the 2024 Republican primary race.
