(FeaturedNews.com) – On Tuesday afternoon, Michael Cohen, the former lawyer of Donald Trump, started his testimony in the civil fraud case against Trump. The New York attorney general Leticia James had been the one to bring forward the case against former President Trump, alleging that over the years he had inflated and deflated his property assets in order to gain more beneficial loan terms and business deals.
Cohen is considered one of the key witnesses in this case, and he is set to testify about the practice of inflating and deflating assets. Previously, his disclosures over the net worth of the former President caused the investigation to be launched.
This is the first time that Cohen is going to need to face Trump since their relationship went astray. Trump did not look at Cohen at all after the latter entered the room and instead continued to look at the computer screen that was set up in front of him. Similarly, Cohen avoided looking at Trump and his legal team as he made his way to the stand, but he did steal one peak over to their side before sitting at the witness stand.
As Cohen provided his testimony, Trump started becoming increasingly agitated and even shook his head several times during the questioning. Trump’s legal team was also quick to object to many of the answers given by Cohen asserting that he had been brought in as an expert in this case despite not having any expertise on the case’s subject matter.
