(FeaturedNews.com) – Former President Donald Trump’s eldest grandchild, Kai Trump, spoke on day three of the RNC.

Taking to the stage of the Republican National Convention on Wednesday evening, Kai Trump shared the side of her grandfather “people don’t often see.”

Kai shared that, to her, Trump is “just a normal grandpa,” giving his grandkids soda and candy when their parents weren’t looking and “always wants to know how we’re doing in school.”

Kai, 17, added that when she “made the high honor roll,” the former President “printed it out to show to his friends” because he was proud of her.

She noted that the former President often called her during the middle of the school day to ask her how her “golf game is going” and tell her about his, but then she reminded him she was still at school and would “call him back later.”

The teenager shared her perspective of the attempt on Trump’s life on Saturday, saying she was “shocked” when she heard her grandpa “had been shot” and wanted to know if he was okay. She added that she found the incident “heartbreaking.”

Kai, who was introduced by her father, Donald Trump Jr., explained that “a lot of people” had put her “grandfather through hell,” but despite that, “he [is] still standing.”

She added that Trump is “such an inspiration,” before declaring her love for him.

The 17-year-old turned her attention to the media, who she described as making her “grandpa seem like a different person,” but she knew him as a “caring and loving” guy who “truly wants the best for this country.”
