(FeaturedNews.com) – Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Jan. 4, 2021, in text messages, expressed his distaste for then-President Donald Trump.

In text messages sent to an unidentified person, he wrote that they were getting close to officially being done with Trump and being in a position to ignore him. He further added that “I hate him passionately. … I can’t handle much more of this.”

At the time, Fox News was facing a crisis as they had angered part of their demographic by correctly stating that Joe Biden had won Arizona in the 2020 presidential election. This had led to both executives and hosts worrying about potentially losing part of their viewership to Newsmax or other rivals.

However, these private comments were dissimilar to the ones that viewers would have heard from Carlson at the time. In a different text message, in reference to the Trump administration, he wrote that they were “pretending” that there was a lot to show for the “last four years” because they don’t want to admit that it was “a disaster.” He further wrote that “there isn’t really an upside to Trump.”

These text messages were part of hundreds of pages of testimony, private messages, and emails that Fox News hosts and executives had shared at the time. The records were released to the public on Tuesday as they are part of the defamation case brought to form by Dominion Voting Systems against Fox News.
