(FeaturedNews.com) – On Friday, during his speech in Lake Tahoe President Biden was booed by onlookers. The White House had previously reported that the Biden family had rented an $18 million home from Tom Steyer, a former Democratic presidential candidate and environmental activist, for their nine-day vacation. The vacation was taken after Biden visited Hawaii where he surveyed the damage caused in Maui by the wildfires.
The video of Biden speaking to the press to discuss the economic issues in the country while a crowd of onlookers booed him quickly went viral.
In the video, Biden noted that he had been talking with the UAW and that he was concerned about the reports of jobs being displaced and replaced. He proceeded to argue that UAW members who previously held the jobs should be the first options for these jobs and the “salary should be commensurate.” However, Biden’s remarks were often drowned out by the crowd that shouted and booed him.
Liz Peek, a Fox News contributor responded to the video by stating “Good- he deserves it.”
Jake Schneider, the GOP Rapid Response Director stated that the best part of the video was the moment when Biden heard the shouting.
Previously Biden’s vacation made headlines after the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) was forced to send fighter jets to intercept an aircraft that had been detected to be flying within the area that had been temporarily restricted. According to a statement by NORAD, flares had been used by the fighter jets to get the attention of the pilot.
