TikToker and bartender Cayley Yanko (@imacayk) recently shared about the time when she unintentionally revealed a customer’s affair. This led to many online sharing their thoughts on infidelity and those who expose it.
Yanko in her two-part video saga starts by explaining how as a bartender she has seen a lot and there was one time when she unintentionally exposed a man’s affair while on shift. This sparked a debate online over whether or not people were obliged to let others know if their partner is cheating. As Yanko explained, at the restaurant she worked there was a pair of regular customers who would order the same thing and come in to drink every Wednesday.
She added that their behavior towards each other made her suspect that they were having an affair as they were both wearing wedding rings and referred to one another as friends. After one of the couple’s visits, the woman and the bartender started chatting. As Yanko jokes “I became therapist Cayley,” as the woman unloaded all her troubles telling her about her impending divorce and how her “friend” was assisting with her finances. She also admitted that she has known the “friend” since childhood and was hoping that he would leave his wife.
After the incident, the pair did not come back for a while, until one day the man walked in again with a woman. Yanko, who was not wearing her glasses, assumed it was the usual pair and asked them if they would like the usual pair. The woman looked “pissed” and Yanko’s co-bartender let Yanko know that the woman next to him was his wife, not the woman who usually attended with him.
Many in the comment section have backed Yanko and said that it was not her fault for exposing him and that it was not her responsibility to keep the secret.
