(FeaturedNews.com) – A new video has been going viral online which shows the moment a father surprised his son following his year-long deployment.
August 17 was a significant day for Eli, who was starting second grade at the Cuyahoga Falls City School District. However, what the young boy had never expected to see on his first day of school was his father walking into the class in a tiger costume.
The teacher in the video is heard saying that she believes they have a visitor. She then states that they had been talking about the “tiger pride pledge” that they wanted to take. In the footage, Eli’s dad kneels in front of his son who is sitting at his desk. He then proceeds to take off the head of the tiger costume which is when Eli lunges into his father’s arms for a hug. The emotional embrace has been commented on a lot.
A teacher then states excitedly that this is “Eli’s dad” who has been gone for quite some time but is now back. This was a reference to the year-long deployment of the man.
The Cuyahoga Falls City School District noted in a statement that the father had just returned to the country from his deployment. The surprise for his son was big on that day. In an image online the young boy can be seen grinning and he is right next to his father who is in the tiger costume.
