(FeaturedNews.com) – On Thursday, President Joe Biden declared he wouldn’t be pardoning his son Hunter and would accept the verdict the jury reached in the felony gun trial.

Biden asserted during an interview with ABC News’s David Muir in Normandy, France, when Muir asked the President if he would accept the results of the federal trial against Hunter in Delaware. Biden simply replied, “Yes.”

Muir then asked if Biden had ruled out pardoning Hunter if the jury returned a guilty verdict, again Biden replied, “Yes.”

Since former President Donald Trump’s trial over the falsifying of business records ended in his conviction, Biden has doubled down on his stance that Trump has been attempting to undermine the legal system.

Biden claimed Trump was “trying to undermine” the legal system, asserting that Trump’s highly-publicized case was “fair” and that the “jury spoke.”

Hunter Biden is facing charges related to federal gun crimes, which included making a false statement during the purchase of a firearm, possession of a firearm by an unlawful person or a person addicted to a controlled substance, and making a false statement to a federal firearms licensed dealer.

The charges stem from a firearm purchase Hunter made in 2018 when he claimed in a gun registration document that he wasn’t taking illegal drugs despite struggling with an addiction to crack cocaine.

The charges were brought following what Republicans described as a “sweetheart deal” with Special Counsel David Weiss fell apart.

Many have made plenty of parallels between Hunter Biden’s trial and the former President’s, given his began days after Trump’s historic conviction on all 34 counts relating to the falsifying of business records.

Trump has repeatedly denied he falsified business records and denied that he attempted to cover up an affair he had with Stormy Daniels, which he also denies.

The former President has appealed the conviction.
