(FeaturedNews.com) – A woman’s video from her travels has gone viral on TikTok. The moment was taken when a solo traveler asked a man to take a picture of her in front of an erupting volcano. However, the video did not attract attention for the reasons you might think.
Katie, 25, from London, shared the moment from her vacation on TikTok along with the photo taken by the well-meaning photographer. However, the photo did not appear to be exactly what she had in mind. Since its posting, the video on TikTok has attracted more than 2.4 million views.
At the beginning of March, Kate went to Guatemala on a trip to see the Fuego Volcano, located near the Acatenango Volcano. The Acatenango stands at 13,041 feet tall and is only 1.5 miles from the Fuego Volcano, which has been erupting since 2002. As she disclosed, there were 20 people spending the night together at base camp, in a group trip that had been organized by their hostel.
When at the top, she had asked for a man to take a photo of her. However, the photo was taken in portrait mode, meaning that the erupting volcano was not at all visible in the background.
Hundreds of TikTok users were quick to say that they have had similar experiences and even advised that in the future she should ask for a video and then grab a screenshot. Others advised her about how to reduce the blurriness to make the shot of the volcano more obvious.
