(FeaturedNews.com) – Donald Trump’s team is requesting for a secure facility to be re-established in Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate for the review of the classified documents in the legal case connected to Trump’s alleged mishandling of classified documents.
The filing came after Trump asked to be able to review the case documents while in his own home. However, this is something that prosecutors had previously claimed would be “extraordinary,” especially considering Mar-a-Lago is the location where Trump had improperly stored and handled classified documents.
On Wednesday, Trump’s attorneys stated in a filing that they requested that a secure area, similar to the one that had existed in Mar-a-Lago during Trump’s administration, was necessary so that the conversations relating to this case can be conducted in a secure setting. They ask that the Court provide approval for the same area that had previously been used as a secure location to once again begin being used in this manner. As they pointed out, this would make it possible for counsel to discuss with Trump without needing Trump’s security detail and law enforcement officer’s to constantly mobilize whenever he needs to discuss his defense in this case.
Trump’s legal team is not only dealing with the request for a secure location right now, but also they are trying to reach a decision with prosecutors relating to the protective order for the case relating to Trump’s recent indictment.
