(FeaturedNews.com) – On Tuesday, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton placed the blame for the recent record-high temperatures on “MAGA Republicans” in a Twitter post.
Clinton responded to a tweet from Center for American Progress, a left-wing think tank that had tweeted out that it was MAGA Republicans who were throwing “fuel on the climate crisis fire.” Their post also included images from recent news stories that detailed the record high temperatures across the U.S. and how Republicans had opposed the Inflation Reduction Act, a $739 billion climate package.
Clinton, in response to that post, asked whether the temperature was “hot enough for you?” She then proceeded to encourage her followers to thank MAGA Republicans for climate change or do one better by voting them out.
This summer the heat wave that has resulted in above-average temperatures has resulted in many Democrats stating that climate change is to blame for the high temperatures. However, Ryan Maue, a former climate scientist at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration pointed out that there have always been heat waves. In a tweet, he also referred to a New York Times editorial that had pushed for lawmakers to “politicize the weather.”
The forecast for the week of July 24th places it as one of the hottest weeks for this summer. Seventy-five percent of the nation is going to have to deal with higher-than-average temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday. This is going to affect over 260 million Americans who are going to continue being under Heat Advisories or Excessive Heat Warnings.
