Shark Attack Reported in South Carolina

(FeaturedNews.com) – On Friday, in waters close to the Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, a shark appeared and attacked a man who was nearby.

According to the reports, the swimmer’s foot had been bitten at around 3:20 p.m. while the man had been in the Sea Pines beaches. The man had been in waist-deep water during the time of the shark attack.

Following the incident, Shore Beach Service personnel were brought to the scene where they managed to get the man out of the ocean. Paramedics at the scene assisted the man before he was taken for treatment for the shark bite at Hilton Head Hospital.

Bob Bromage, the Hilton Head Director of Public Safety did not provide almost any identifying information about the man, except that he is 60 years old. Currently, he is believed to be in a stable position, while the information about what type of shark they assume to be responsible for the attack was also not released.

Following the incident, a part of the water at the beach was closed off.
