(FeaturedNews.com) – House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) revealed how his sons had almost drowned during a visit to Florida, where he had also met with former President Donald Trump. The information was part of a new profile on The Atlantic, where Johnson spoke about the incident relating to his son.

The week of Thanksgiving Johnson had visited Palm Beach, Fla., for the fundraiser where he had sat down for a dinner with Trump. The following day, the Speaker’s security detail had walked in on a meeting he was having with donors close to the beach and had informed him that they needed to speak to him.

As it was revealed that a riptide had swept the Johnson’s sons and he had even informed the Atlantic that one of his sons, Jack had been trying to save his brother Will from drowning. A parasailor had been able to see Will’s head, who had gone on to inform lifeguards about the incident. They were able to get the boys on jet skins and get them back to the beach, where the Speaker found medical personnel checking his children. The boys had to spend four hours in the emergency room before being permitted to go home.

Johnson stated that Trump had somehow heard about the incident and that miraculously the tabloids and news had not written about the incident. The Speaker and former President had also spoken on the phone following the incident. As Johnson shared, they had talked extensively and Trump had been “moved” by the fact that they almost lost one of their sons.
