(FeaturedNews.com) – The Biden administration has been auctioning off the materials for the border wall as the Republicans are attempting to pass legislation that would force them to complete the construction.

This month, GovPlanet, which has a specialization in military surplus, listed for sale structural steel tubes which were auctioned off in an online marketplace. The beams were noted as “excess border wall materials” which were made available for sale following a request from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

The Department of Defense’s logistics agency also confirmed the sale to both the Daily Upside and the New York Post. The Post reported that so far GovPlanes has made around $2 million from selling 81 lots of beams.

The beams were meant to act as the border wall’s vertical bollards, and they were sold off in five lots each one averaging around $212. For the 729, GovPlanet has made around $154,200. There are two more actions scheduled to take place on Aug. 23 and Aug. 30. During those actions 13 square structural tubes are going to be sold off.

In an email to Fox News Digital on Sunday, a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers spokesperson claimed that so far the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has transferred around $154 of the $260 million worth of bollard panels. They further noted that the property disposition processes were followed for disposing of the remaining material.

Former President Donald Trump had reportedly spent $15 billion for the 45 miles border in the southern border and there was a remaining 250 miles that was still in construction when he left the White House.
