(FeaturedNews.com) – On Tuesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi appeared to mix up President Biden and former President Donald Trump, despite the fact that she had previously blasted Trump for “cognitive disorders.”

During her remarks to MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, Pelosi stated that she would not be discussing Trump’s cognitive disorders. The host had proceeded to ask Trump after his recent attack directed at Pelosi concerning her response to the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack. During those remarks, Trump had repeatedly confused Pelosi with Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley. Maddow pointed out that Haley has commented her thoughts about the incident but that they had not heard from Pelosi what she thought of it.

Pelosi argued that she would not be spending a lot of time on Trump’s “cognitive disorders.” However, she argued that nobody had blocked the National Guard from coming to the Capitol and that she along with Chuck Schumer and Mitch McConnell had been begging for the arrival of the National Guard. During this response, Pelosi herself had a slight slip when she referred to “Joe” briefly before correcting herself to note that it had been Donald Trump who had not allowed the arrival of the National Guard.

Pelosi argued that Trump was aware that only the president has the authority to bring the National Guard. She added that this was only the case in the District of Columbia as in every other state the governor is also given the power to call the National Guard. However, as she pointed out she was more scared of Trump’s misrepresentations.
