(FeaturedNews.com) – Davin O’Malley, former Vice President Mike Pence’s communication adviser, revealed that Pence was ready to square off against Donald Trump for the first Republican primary debate, but only of course, only if Trump “had the courage to show up.” The former president is skipping the first debate on 8/23.

Pence’s senior adviser Marc Short also noted that they were ready for the presidential debate and had been prepared and waiting for the debate for quite some time.

Trump has frequently stated that he would not be attending the first presidential primary debate which is going to be hosted by Fox News in Milwaukee. He has argued that his reason for refusing to attend is that he is currently leading the presidential race by double digits.

Following Trump’s recent indictments, Pence has spoken up against the former President. In a recent gathering with state lawmakers in Indianapolis at the National Conference of State Legislatures, Pence called out trump, stating that there was no one who was above the law and also that all those implicated in the case have the right to be presumed innocent until they are proved to be guilty.

Pence continued by saying that in his view on that date he had performed his duty to help ensure that the transfer of power in the U.S. is going to be peaceful.
