(FeaturedNews.com) – First Lady Jill Biden has kicked off her summer by participating in campaign events to support President Biden’s bid for reelection. Despite the fact that the 2024 presidential election is still a year away, Jill Biden has wasted no time in embarking on solo trips as part of the campaign. Beginning on Monday, she engaged in a three-day fundraising series in New York City, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
During her visit, Jill Biden dedicated the majority of her schedule to attending four political events. Two of these gatherings, held in California’s Bay Area, focused on promoting her husband’s reelection campaign while also supporting the Democratic National Committee and Democratic state party committees.
Additionally, Jill Biden joined Gabrielle Giffords in Los Angeles to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Giffords Law Center, a nonprofit organization committed to advocating against gun violence. Gabrielle Giffords, the former Congresswoman and head of the center, survived a gunshot wound to the head in 2011.
This event marked Jill Biden’s first public appearance since a previous engagement where she did not receive the anticipated reaction from the audience. During her speech at that event, she expressed her visits to both Republican and Democratic states, emphasizing the shared “common values” that unite Americans beyond their divisions. When the crowd initially remained silent, she paused briefly and humorously mentioned her expectation of applause for her statement, leading the audience to eventually clap in response.
