(FeaturedNews.com) – Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) slammed former President Donald Trump for his new campaign initiative as he is selling American Bibles. She proceeded to call for Trump to take the time to read what is written in the Bible regarding adultery.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Cheney wished Trump a “Happy Holy Week” and argued that instead of trying to sell Bibles Trump most likely needed to buy one. This statement was made in response to Biden’s announcement on his own social media platform Truth Social, which Cheney had shared with a screenshot.
Cheney then proceeded to say that Trump needed to read “Exodus 20:14” which is famously the verse that notes that believers should not commit adultery. Trump in his latest attempt to raise funds for his campaign, united in a partnership with Lee Greenwood, a country musician, to sell what he has referred to as “God Bless USA” Bibles. These Bibles are going to be sold ahead of Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
Trump shared on Tuesday on Truth Social a video of the bible and stated that he believed it was crucial for every single American to have a copy in his home. He added that this was his favorite book and he was proud to endorse it as they needed to “make America pray again.” He proceeded to argue that they needed to bring religion and Christianity back to the country, as one of the biggest issues they currently have is that these are missing from how the country is run right now.
