(FeaturedNews.com) – “Real Time” host Bill Maher stated during a panel discussion on Friday that his “dream” ticket in the 2024 presidential election would be President Joe Biden running with former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.
Following Super Tuesday when Haley lost all but one primary election she suspended her 2024 presidential campaign. However, thus far she has refused to endorse former President Donald Trump. Trump is now expected to be the GOP nominee in the general election.
Maher noted that Haley did not have a future in the GOP so long as Trump was politically active. He then suggested that she should instead pursue a different political path. Maher pointed out that he was aware that it was “crazy” to even consider Haley running with Biden but that his dream would be a” unity ticket.” He added that this ticket would be guaranteed to win the presidential election.
Maher continued by arguing that over her presidential campaign, Haley has made several statements that were “pretty crazy” including her assertion that the United States has “never been a racist country.”
Tara Palmeri, a Puck correspondent, has claimed that a possible swap of Vice President Kamala Harris with Haley was going to “destroy” the Democratic party. Maher however countered that by claiming that Haley was a woman of color.
Palmeri still disagreed, arguing that Black women were “the core of the Democratic Party.”
Maher then proposed the possibility of outgoing Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, joining the Biden administration as the Secretary of State. He argued that they needed to make a move that would cross to the other side to show unity.
