(FeaturedNews.com) – On Friday, First Lady Jill Biden strongly criticized former President Donald Trump, labeling him a “bully” and highlighting the potential risks to the LGBTQ community if he were to be reelected in November. Speaking at the Human Rights Campaign’s “Equality in Action” event in Virginia, she praised the advancements for the LGBTQ community under the current administration and expressed concerns about the consequences of a second Trump presidency.

“Donald Trump is a bully. He poses a significant threat to the LGBTQ community, our families, and our country. We cannot allow him to win. We must fight relentlessly to secure another term for President Biden and Vice President Harris,” Jill Biden remarked.

During her speech, the First Lady pointed to specific achievements of the Biden administration, such as the signing of legislation that protects gay marriage, the reversal of a Trump-era policy that prohibited transgender individuals from serving in the military, and the easing of restrictions on blood donations from gay and bisexual men.

“Despite these advancements, there are still forces trying to undo these hard-won gains and reverse the progress we’ve achieved,” she added.

Jill Biden’s comments are part of a continuing trend in which she has vocally opposed Trump, the likely Republican nominee facing President Biden in the upcoming November elections. In a March campaign event, she had previously criticized Trump as being “dangerous to women and our families,” referring to his stance on abortion and his historical comments about women.

Her speech coincided with the launch of “Out for Biden-Harris,” a new national campaign initiative designed to engage LGBTQ voters. The reelection campaign highlights that the Biden-Harris administration is considered the most pro-LGBTQ administration in U.S. history, receiving endorsements from major LGBTQ organizations, including the Human Rights Campaign, the National Center for Transgender Equality, and Equality PAC.
