(FeaturedNews.com) – Vice President Kamala Harris has dismissed those claims that she was incapable and argued that these were the types of insults that many successful women face.
During an interview, CNN host Laura Coates asked Harris about the allegations that a vote in support of President Biden was a vote supporting Harris because of his age. As she pointed out, this is something that is often pushed as an “insult” which is meant to push forward a negative idea about Harris. She proceeded to ask the vice president what her reaction to these claims that she was incapable was especially considering her background and career.
In response, Harris argued that the majority of women who had worked in their profession have had to face similar insults. She added that she was the first woman district attorney and Attorney General in California and that she was the first female vice President. She proceeded to say she loved her job.
During her interview with CNN, Harris focused on the importance of abortion access ahead of the presidential election. As she argued, the Supreme Court had taken a constitutional right away from the American people, and that the United States Congress had the right to restore this right and place protections on abortion access.
As she argued, people didn’t need to abandon their beliefs to agree that the government should not have the right to instruct women on what they are and are not allowed to do with their bodies. She added that women were “silently suffering.”
