(FeaturedNews.com) – On Monday, Vice President Harris during an appearance on CNN defended the Biden administration’s-Department of Justice as being independent and argued that the two remaining separate was “non-negotiable.”

CNN’s Laura Coates had specifically asked Harris about the claims of former President Donald Trump that the criminal cases that have been led against him constitute election interference. However, Harris was quick to respond that the American people cared about the rule of law.

Coates pushed further by asking about the claim that President Biden is overseeing the Department of Justice in the cases that they brought forward against Trump. In response, Harris argued that anyone who had paid attention could see that there was a clear separation between the federal administration and the Justice Department in both the investigations and prosecutions. She added that this is a line that has never been crossed.

Coates proceeded to ask Harris if she had a response for those who had thought that the investigation into the former President was handled by the Biden administration. Harris argued that this was not factual and that this is not something “new” for Trump.

Harris also spoke about the attempts of several states to have Trump removed from the ballot and said that all of those cages are “being litigated” and that they would continue to look at the cases as they complete those processes.

In January, Harris made several media appearances promoting the Biden-Harris campaign and expressing confidence in the Biden-Harris ticket.
