(FeaturedNews.com) – On Monday, a pro-Palestinian group of protesters had accosted Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., while she visited a Brooklyn movie theater along with her fiance. During the incident, they pushed for her to refer to the offensive from Israel against Gaza as a “genocide.”
Fox News Digital has obtained a video from the protesters in which the group is seen approaching the representative while holding their phones outside of the Alamo Drafthouse. One of the protesters pointed out that the Democratic representative was unwilling to call what was happening in Gaza a “genocide.”
In response, Ocasio-Cortez argued that she needed the group to understand what they were doing. A member of the group responded to that arguing that was not okay with the fact that she appeared unwilling to refer to it as a “Genocide” and that she was not actively against what was happening.
Ocasio-Cortez shouted in response that the protester was lying.
In the video, the group is seen following the Representative down the escalator while continuing to berate her over not labeling what was happening in the war against Gaza as a “genocide.” One of the protesters went as far as to say that the representative could not say it and that they were just talking to her like normal people. They proceeded to point out that the Gaza Health Ministry announced that there were more than 30,000 people who were dead and that she needed to just say the word as that was all that they wanted from her.
