(FeaturedNews.com) – Following the vote in the Republican National Committee for the new chair of the committee to be selected, many people are speculating about what the connection between President Donald Trump and the committee will be in the next presidential primary.

On Friday, Ronna McDaniel managed to win another term as chair. McDaniel had originally been chosen for the position by Trump, who had greatly influenced the RNC during his time in office. Trump’s third bid for the White House has now led to an unprecedented situation with the former President trying to once again win control of the White House, and the RNC is right in the middle of everything.

RNC members have also been particularly cautious about providing Trump with any outward support this early on as the RNC has pledged that they would be neutral in how they run the RNC ahead of the Republican primary.

However, despite these promises, there are many who question whether that will be the case especially as McDaniel was reelected as chair. Jonathan Barnett, an RNC committeeman from Arkansas, noted that while on an individual level, everyone is allowed to support whoever they want, the chair should not be showing such favoritism. However, as McDaniel owes Trump her job, her neutrality is much harder to guarantee.

Many are also concerned about the role of the RNC not just in the GOP primary, but also in fundraising and debates, as well as creating the framework for the election.
