(FeaturedNews.com) – On Sunday, former President Trump took a jab at late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, after his comments during the Oscars which ended up going viral on social media.
During an appearance on Fox News’s “MediaBuzz,” Trump had referred to his long-running feud with Kimmel arguing that the late-night host whose ratings were really bad was trying to hit him every night. He added that since he hears that Kimmel hits him every single night, he should hit him back as he considers him a lousy host.
Last week, Kimmel responded to the criticisms of the former President regarding his hosting skills at the 96th annual Academy Awards.
Kimmel had told the audience that he wanted to share a “review” that had been posted on Truth Social by the former President. The post had only been shared less than an hour before Kimmel had read it live. Trump in his post had questioned whether there had ever been a host at the Oscars that was worse than Jimmy Kimmel. He added that his opening speech had been worse than what the average person could have delivered and that with the speech he was trying hard to be something he was not.
Kimmel responded to the attack arguing that he was “surprised” to see Trump up and questioned if it was past his “jail time.” This was a reference to the multiple legal battles that Trump is currently facing.
On Sunday, Trump argued that he had not expected that his response was going to be read out during the awards and even claimed that some people backstage had told Kimmel not to read it.
