(FeaturedNews.com) – Former President Donald Trump’s allies have seized on the delays in the New York hush money case as Judge Juan Merchan has not yet made a decision on whether Trump could receive an exemption from the trial so he could attend the high school graduation of his youngest son Barron Trump in May.
Eric Trump, one of the former President’s other sons, took to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Monday to say that the judge was “heartless” for stopping a father from being present at the graduation of his son. As per New York state law, Trump is required to be in attendance for the entire trial and is not allowed to skip unless he receives explicit permission from the judge to do so. Merchan had declined to make a ruling on whether or not Trump would be granted permission to attend the graduation, however, he did not outright block the former President from doing so.
Trump has also blasted Merchan for blocking him from attending his son’s graduation, arguing that his son had been looking forward to both of his parents attending his graduation. However, as he stated it appears that the judge in the case would not allow him to escape this “scam trial.”
On Monday, Trump also took to his social media platform Truth Social to express frustrations about him potentially not getting to see his son graduate. In the post, he praised his son Barron for being a “GREAT student” and questioned who would explain to his son why his father would not attend his graduation which is an event that they have spent years talking about.
