(FeaturedNews.com) – Mary Silvestri, a 92-year-old woman from Connecticut, finally got to attend an audition for the Rockettes. According to reports, there were over 800 dancers at Radio City Music Hall in New York City last week for the audition.

Silvestri, who also visited Radio City Music Hall, stated that she had originally tried to audition for the Rockettes years earlier, but that at the time, she had not been able to make it to New York City. In the footage shared on the dance company’s official social media, Silvestri revealed that at the time, there was no one who would take her to New York to audition, much like everyone was auditioning now, and that was why she had not attended the audition. She proceeded to wish all the dancers best of luck and said that she hoped they would “all make it.”

Rockette Amarisa LeBar told PEOPLE that Silvestri’s family had contacted the dance company before the audition and had revealed her story. She added that the company, after hearing the story, knew that they wanted to be involved as they “always love making someone’s dream come true.”

When Silvestri arrived with her family at Radio City Music Hall she received a warm welcome, and the 92-year-old was later allowed to pose for a photograph doing the Rockettes’ “iconic” bevel.

LeBar stated that she was happy and honored to have been a part of creating this special moment for Silvestri, and added that the whole experience touched her heart.
