(FeaturedNews.com) – This past week, images emerged that were fabricated through the use of artificial intelligence software (AI), in which former President Donald Trump could be seen being arrested. The images have been shared widely across social media.

In the images, what seems to be a relatively large group of New York City Police Department officers appear to be arresting Trump while he is resisting. The pictures which were shared on Twitter included some images in which Trump could be seen being forced to the ground, while in other ones he was running away from the officers.

The text in the images is not clear, which is the biggest indication that these photos are fake. Eliot Higgins, founder, and creative director of investigative collective Bellingcat, was the first to share the images on Monday. They have since been circulated across social media.

In a tweet, he described how he had used MidJourney V5, an AI image creation software, to create the images. Some of the prompts that he had used read “Donald Trump falling over while getting arrested, fibonacci spiral, news footage.” These were the prompts that resulted in the creation of these images.

Some users however, shared the photos without sharing the context of their creation, which led to many speculating about Trump’s potential indictment. The New York City Police Department verified that there had not been any attempt to arrest Trump.

Higgins said that the images were just used to show how realistic the results from the AI could be.
