(FeaturedNews.com) – The GOP’s branch in the U.S. Virgin Islands chairman blasted the Republican National Committee (RNC) over a recent online attack on President Joe Biden.

President Biden and his wife Jill Biden appeared for their New Year’s Eve remarks on ABC from a property in the Virgin Islands. Following the appearance, the RNC blasted Biden over delivering his message from a mansion in the Virgin Islands.

Biden had gone on a New Year’s trip to St. Croix, however, this led to the GOP slamming him and calling him “Beachfront Biden.” The Republican party has also continuously blasted Biden over his decision to continue going on vacations even though there is a crisis in the U.S. southern border.

U.S. Virgin Islands Republican Party chairman Gordon Ackley stated in response to the X, formerly known as Twitter, post that he was “disappointed” by the RNC’s implication that the Virgin Islands were not a part of the country. He added that while there were many things that could be used against Biden, it was disappointing to see the RNC imply that the Virgin Islands were not a part of the country despite being an American territory.

The Virgin Islands have their own local government as they are an unincorporated territory. The U.S. Virgin Islands House of Representatives seat is held by Stacey Plaskett, a Democrat. Plaskett won the seat against Ackley in 2016 after she received more than 98 percent of the vote.

However, while Ackley slammed the RNC he did not compliment Biden and instead retweeted some critical comments about the President made by Steve Guest, a conservative commentator.
