(FeaturedNews.com) – On Tuesday, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton encouraged seniors to listen to some of the comments that former President Donald Trump had made regarding Social Security after his recent CNBC interview where he appeared to be opening the door to making cuts to entitlement programs.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Clinton had written that anyone who had seniors in their lives needed to see Biden’s comments. In the post, she highlighted a campaign post by President Biden which featured a clip from Monday’s CNBC interview with the former President.

During the interview, Trump was asked about the perception that he shared similar views with President Biden on how entitlements should be handled, especially as in the past he had committed to not touch Medicare and Social Security.

CNBC’s “Squawk Box” co-host Joe Kernen had told Trump that it looked like some action needed to be taken if they wanted the country to stop being at a 120 percent GDP debt forever. In response, Trump argued that there were a lot of things that could be done when it came to entitlements and cutting.

While the clip shared by Biden’s campaign ended in the interview, Trump had proceeded to say that there were many things to be done to handle entitlements, bad management and theft. This was why he did not exactly agree with Kernen’s statement.

Biden, however, who had been focused on attacking Republicans for their threats to Medicare and Social Security, had commented about Trump’s remarks that this would not happen on his “watch.”
