(FeaturedNews.com) – On Friday, former Vice President Mike Pence made an announcement noting that he would not be endorsing former President Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential race.

While Pence was once Trump’s running mate, the relationship between the two men has soured greatly, especially after the January 6 riots during which Trump had placed the blame on Pence for not refusing to certify the presidential election. In his announcement, Pence pointed out that it should be unsurprising to people that he would not be endorsing Trum’s presidential race.

As he stated in “The Story,” he was very proud of the record of the Trump-Pence administration which had benefited both Americans and had been good for the conservative record. He then pointed out that during his own 2024 presidential bid, he had clearly spoken about the differences between him and Trump. He further pointed out that he has repeatedly stated that he did not have the right to change the 2020 presidential election results under the Electoral Count Act of 1887. This is something that Trump and many of his allies have repeatedly argued.

Pence argued that the 2024 Trump campaign is painting him as an attempt to shirk from the conservative commitment to reduce debt. He then pointed out Trump’s most recent comments about a TikTok ban and his reaction to China. This change in approach marks a departure from the line that Trump had used during his 2016 administration when he took steps against the Chinese-controlled app.
