A new TikTok video has been making the rounds after a man appears to have not noticed the brand-new 65-inch TV he received as a gift, despite watching things on it for a couple of days. The video was shared by user @oh.steph.tok on Monday and it shows a video of a woman and man ready to have their photo taken in front of the TV.

This was the moment that the woman took the chance to announce that the TV they were standing in front of had been a gift for her husband, who had not even noticed it in the past two days. The woman said that she wanted everyone to know that her husband had not noticed the 65-inch color TV that he had been watching for the past couple of days is brand new.

Surprised by this revelation the husband turns and checks the TV saying, “Where? This is it? Oh, darling that’s so sweet. That’s so sweet. Why you play these little tricks on me like this?”

Oh.steph.tok captioned the video “My Dad is EXTREMELY OBSERVANT!!!!” and then added in the comments that everyone should aim to find a man who had absolutely no clue what was going on ever.

Zippia, a career website, reported this year that the average American spends $932 each on holiday gifts and that 60 percent of Americans prefer to do all their holiday shopping online. They also reported that the total U.S. spending on gifts is going to reach $178 billion in 2022 and that 40 percent of Christmas sales occur between December 15 and 24.
Since the posting of the video on December 26, it has managed to garner more than 3 million views and over 494,100 likes. Most of the commenters appear to have found the situation hilarious and many have pointed out that their own father is similar to this.
