(FeaturedNews.com) – MSNBC anchor Katie Phang landed in New York City only to find an unexpected guest had come on her trip with her. As she recalled when she opened her suitcase she found “Franky,” her daughter’s stuffed bear.

As she recounted during an interview with Yahoo Life, her daughter had placed the stuffed bear in the suitcase and Phang had forgotten about it until she reached the hotel. She recalled how her daughter Charlotte, had asked her mother to take the bear with her so that it could “see the world.” Charlotte’s argumentation for the request was simple. Franky never got to leave the House, but when Phang suggested that they could just take it to the grocery store her daughter rolled her eyes and said that the “supermarket is not New York City.”

Phang then agreed to bring Franky with her for the trip. It was then that she took it upon herself to take Franky to see as many places as possible and she documented the entire trip through photographs. Franky got to visit the set at MSNBC headquarters, Sixth Avenue, and even a café near St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Along the way, Phang also tweeted photos of her and the stuffed animal.

Franky’s adventures instantly went viral with over 1 million views and close to 50,000 likes. The images encouraged others to share similar photos and what brought them about.

As one user noted “My mom (who has dementia now) put Bun Bun and Quackdoodle in my husband’s and my Easter baskets about 12 years ago,” since then they stuffed duck and bunny had gone on every trip with them.
