(FeaturedNews.com) – The House Judiciary Committee GOP has filed a lawsuit against the Department of Justice in an attempt to force testimony from two line attorneys who had been part of the probe on Hunter Biden.

In a previous attempt, the Republican lawmakers had tried to subpoena the two men, along with a number of other Justice Department officials, arguing in a filing on Thursday that the committee wished to question the two tax attorneys who allegedly had changed their position after originally pushing for charges to be pressed against Biden over his taxes.

The committee argued in the suit that there is still an ongoing investigation over whether or not the DOJ had committed impartial justice following the evidence that has been revealed regarding the favorable treatment received by Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden’s son.

The suit further stated that in order for the committee to be able to craft legislative reforms or determine if President Biden had committed any impeachable offense it was necessary for them to gather all of the facts. As they argued the committee needs the testimony of both Jack Morgan and Mark Daly, who are two former or current Tax Division attorneys with knowledge of the irregularities in the investigation.

The two attorneys’ suit for testimony comes after the charges that were filed against Hunter Biden over the tax violations he committed in California from 2017 to 2020. However, the Republicans wish to discuss the information of the attorneys as they relate to Biden’s taxes in 2014 and 2015. Those were the two years that Hunter Biden had served as a board member for Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company.
